![]() The Reverend Dr. Dawnn M. Pirani Brumfield The Urban CPE Consortium Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Dr. Dawnn Pirani Brumfield as Executive and Development Director. The Board made this selection based on Dawnn’s extensive experience and professional achievements. In addition to managing day to day operations, Dawnn will work closely with the Urban CPE Consortium Board and former Executive Director/current Principal ACPE Certified Educator, Barbara Sheehan, S.P., to develop a guiding vision for the organization’s future. Dawnn will have responsibility for communications, marketing, fundraising, and relationship management. In line with Urban CPE’s mission, Dawnn’s heart lies with those who are marginalized. Her life ministry has been committed to educating church leadership on how to make the church accessible to ALL people regardless of race, gender, class or culture, sexual orientation, family design and physical, emotional or mental conditions. She is a passionate preacher, teacher, and lecturer who routinely incorporates current books, movies, music and sports analogies into her messages. She is most proud of the opportunities she’s been afforded to teach and preach in South Africa and Ghana, West Africa, and serve in Atlanta, GA as a chaplain at the Metro State Women’s Prison and at the Atlanta Medical Center. Dawnn earned her Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Chicago Theological Seminary. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School and an advanced certificate in Counseling from The Center for Religion and Psychotherapy. She enjoys reading, writing, watching sports and spending time with her spouse, family and friends. Most of all, she loves connecting with people; helping to bring God’s purpose for an individual’s life to fruition. We are confident that Dawnn’s collaborative and engaging leadership approach and wide range of ministerial experiences will assist the Urban CPE Consortium in continuing to achieve its mission and goals to serve a diverse and inclusive community.
